Walking
If you are in downtown Biddeford, start at the Biddeford City Hall located at 205 Main St. Head south on Main St towards Alfred St. Continue straight for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Saco River. Turn left onto Saco Island and follow the path along the river. After about 0.2 miles, you’ll see signs for the Greenbelt Walkway. Follow the walkway to the east and you will arrive at Bug Light Park in South Portland. The park is located at the end of the path, where you can enjoy views of the lighthouse.

From Biddeford, head to the nearest bus stop on Main St. Take the Metro Bus route towards South Portland. Make sure to check the schedule and wait for Bus 1, which goes directly to South Portland. Get off at the Bug Light Park stop. From there, it’s a short walk to the entrance of Bug Light Park. The park entrance is clearly marked and you will be able to enjoy the beautiful views of the park and lighthouse.
