    Getting There

    Walking

    From the center of Biddeford, head south on Main Street towards Saco. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Elm Street. Turn right onto Elm Street, which will become Route 9. Follow Route 9 for approximately 8 miles, passing through Saco and then Scarborough. Keep an eye out for signs directing you towards Bailey Island. Once you reach the bridge to Bailey Island, cross it and continue straight until you reach Halfway Rock Light Station, which is located on the eastern side of the island.

    Public Transportation

    Begin at the Biddeford Transportation Center. Take the Metro Bus Route 19 towards South Portland. Get off at the South Portland Bus Terminal. From there, transfer to Bus Route 1 towards Cape Elizabeth and get off at the nearest stop that connects to Route 9 towards Bailey Island. Follow the directions for walking from that bus stop as previously mentioned to reach Halfway Rock Light Station.
