Getting There

• Walking

  From the center of Brunswick, head east on Maine Street toward Union Street. Continue straight for about 0.3 miles until you reach the intersection with Pleasant Street. Turn left onto Pleasant Street and walk for another 0.4 miles until you reach the Amtrak train station. From the train station, you can catch a local bus to Portland. The bus will take you to the Portland Transportation Center, which is about 2 miles from the ferry terminal. Once you arrive at the Transportation Center, transfer to the METRO bus Route 1, which goes directly to the Casco Bay Lines terminal. Get off at the stop near 56 Commercial St, Portland, ME.

• Public Transport

  Begin at the Brunswick Visitor Center on Maine St. Take the Downeaster train from the Brunswick station to Portland, which typically takes about 30 minutes. Upon arriving at the Portland station, follow the signs to the bus terminal. Board a local METRO bus (Route 1) towards the Old Port. Stay on the bus for about 15 minutes, and get off at the stop for Commercial St. Walk a short distance down Commercial St and you will arrive at 56 Commercial St, the Casco Bay Lines terminal.

• Biking

  If you prefer biking, rent a bike from one of the local rental shops in Brunswick. Start from the center of Brunswick and head east on Maine St toward Union St. Continue to follow the bike paths along the roads that lead toward Portland. The most direct route is to follow Route 1 south until you reach the Fore River Parkway. Continue onto Commercial St. Once you reach 56 Commercial St, you will see the Casco Bay Lines terminal right ahead.
