Car
If you are driving from Bar Harbor, take Route 3 to Ellsworth and merge onto US-1 S. Continue on US-1 for approximately 30 miles until you reach Stockton Springs. The Penobscot Narrows Bridge will be directly visible on your right as you approach the town. There is no entrance fee to walk on the bridge itself but parking nearby may incur a small fee.
Car
From Bangor, drive south on I-95 and take exit 182A for US-1 S. Follow US-1 for about 30 miles. As you approach Stockton Springs, keep an eye out for the Penobscot Narrows Bridge, which will be on your right. Again, parking may require a fee but walking on the bridge is free.
Public Transportation
Public transportation options are limited in this area; however, you can take a bus from Bangor to Belfast via Downeast Transportation. From Belfast, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to reach the Penobscot Narrows Bridge, which is approximately 15 miles away.
