Car
From downtown Lubec, drive south on S Lubec Rd (Route 189). Follow the signs for West Quoddy Head State Park. Continue on this road for approximately 4 miles until you reach the West Quoddy Head Lighthouse at 973 S Lubec Rd, Lubec, ME 04652. Parking is available at the site. Note that there is no entrance fee, but donations are appreciated.
Public Transportation
If you're using public transportation, check if there are any local bus services that run between Machias and Lubec. Once you reach Lubec, you may need to use a taxi service or rideshare app to cover the remaining distance to West Quoddy Head Lighthouse, as public transport options may not directly reach the lighthouse. The taxi ride should take about 15 minutes.
Walking
If you are staying in Lubec and prefer to walk, you can walk from downtown Lubec to West Quoddy Head Lighthouse. The distance is approximately 4 miles. Head south on S Lubec Rd (Route 189), following the same route as drivers. Enjoy the scenic views along the way, but be prepared for a bit of a trek.
