Car
From the center of Hancock County, get onto Route 1 (the main highway). Follow Route 1 north until you reach the intersection with Route 3. Turn right onto Route 3 and continue traveling until you reach the town of Bar Harbor. In Bar Harbor, follow signs for Route 233 (the Park Loop Road). Continue on Route 233 until you reach the entrance of Acadia National Park. Once inside the park, follow signs for Historic Forest Lodge, which is located within the park's boundaries. Be aware that there may be an entrance fee for the park, which is typically around $30 for a vehicle.
Public Transportation
If you're using public transportation, start by taking a bus to Bar Harbor from any major town in Hancock County. Once in Bar Harbor, you can use the Island Explorer Shuttle, which operates seasonally and provides free rides to various locations in Acadia National Park, including the Historic Forest Lodge. Be sure to check the shuttle schedule in advance, as it may vary based on the time of year.
