From the center of Trenton, ME, head south on ME-3 S. Continue on ME-3 S for about 2.5 miles. You will see a sign for Kisma Preserve on your right. Turn right onto the road leading into the preserve. Follow this road until you reach the parking area.
Public Transportation
Take the Downeast Transportation bus service from Ellsworth to Trenton. Ask the driver to drop you off at the nearest stop to Kisma Preserve. Once you get off the bus, you will need to walk approximately 1 mile south on ME-3 to reach the entrance of Kisma Preserve. Be sure to check the bus schedule ahead of time for the latest departure and arrival times.
Bicycle
For those who prefer cycling, start from downtown Trenton and head south on ME-3 S. It is approximately a 2.5-mile ride. Be cautious of traffic as you ride along the road. Once you see the sign for Kisma Preserve, turn right onto the entrance road and follow it to the parking area.
