If you are in the center of Kennebunkport, start by heading east on Ocean Avenue towards the Dock Square area. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Route 9 (also known as State Route 35). Turn left onto Route 9 and follow it for about 4.5 miles. You will pass through scenic views of the coast and residential areas. Keep an eye out for signs leading to Rye, NH. Once you reach Rye, look for signs for Odiorne Point State Park. The park entrance will be on your right; follow the signs to the parking area.
Biking
For a more adventurous route, consider renting a bike in Kennebunkport. Start from the center of town and head east along Ocean Avenue. Follow the same route as you would when walking until you reach Route 9. Biking along Ocean Avenue offers beautiful views of the ocean, so take your time! Once on Route 9, continue biking for approximately 4.5 miles. Watch for the entrance to Odiorne Point State Park on your right. There are bike racks available at the park entrance for you to secure your bike.
Public Transit
To reach Odiorne Point State Park using public transit, first walk to the nearest bus stop in Kennebunkport. Catch the shuttle service heading towards Portsmouth, NH. Inform the driver that you want to get off at the Rye stop. After disembarking, you will have a short walk to the park entrance. Follow the signs leading towards Odiorne Point State Park, which is about a 10-minute walk from where the bus drops you off.
