Walking
From downtown Exeter, head northeast on Water Street towards Main Street. Continue straight onto Front Street. Turn left onto Epping Road (Route 27) and follow it as it becomes Portsmouth Avenue. After about 1.5 miles, turn right onto NH-101 E. Follow NH-101 E for approximately 4 miles until you reach the exit for Route 1A toward New Castle. Merge onto Route 1A and continue for about 3 miles until you reach Wentworth Road. Turn left onto Wentworth Road, and Great Island Common will be on your right at 301 Wentworth Rd.
Public Transport
Start at the Exeter Town Hall bus stop. Take the COAST bus route 2 towards Portsmouth. Get off at the stop for the New Castle Town Hall. From the bus stop, walk south on Route 1A for about 0.3 miles. When you reach Wentworth Road, turn right, and Great Island Common will be on your right at 301 Wentworth Rd.
