From Portland Head Light, head northeast on Shore Rd toward Fort Williams Park. Continue straight onto Shore Rd for about 0.5 miles. Turn left onto ME-77 N (also known as Ocean St) and continue for about 2.5 miles. Then, turn right onto Bug Light Park, which is located near the water in South Portland. The park has a parking area where you can leave your car. Note: There may be parking fees depending on the time of year.

From Portland Head Light, walk to the nearest bus stop located at the entrance of Fort Williams Park. Take the South Portland Bus Line (Metro Bus) Route 21 towards South Portland.
