Getting There

• Walking

  Start at the Portland Public Library located at 5 Monument Square. Head south on Monument Square toward Congress Street. Turn left onto Congress Street and walk approximately 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with State Street. Turn right onto State Street and continue for another 0.5 miles until you reach the waterfront area near the Casco Bay Ferry Terminal. From there, follow the waterfront path south towards Fort Road. Once you reach Fort Road, turn right and continue walking for about 1 mile until you reach 2 Fort Rd, South Portland, where the Spring Point Ledge Lighthouse is located.

• Public Transit

  Begin at the nearest bus stop to your location in Portland. You can take the South Portland Bus (Metro Bus) from the downtown area. Look for the bus route that goes towards South Portland. Disembark at the 'Fort Road' stop. From the bus stop, walk south along Fort Road for about 0.3 miles. The Spring Point Ledge Lighthouse will be located at 2 Fort Rd, South Portland. Follow the signs to the waterfront for the best access to the lighthouse.

• Biking

  If you have access to a bike, start from the Old Port area in Portland. Head south towards the Casco Bay Bridge using the designated bike lanes. Once you cross the bridge, continue straight onto Route 77. After a short ride, turn onto Fort Road. Follow Fort Road for approximately 1 mile until you reach the Spring Point Ledge Lighthouse at 2 Fort Rd, South Portland. There are bike racks available near the lighthouse for parking.
