If you're starting from the South Portland Ferry Terminal, exit the terminal and head northeast on the waterfront path towards the Casco Bay. Continue walking along the waterfront for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with State Street. Turn right onto State Street and continue walking for about 0.3 miles. Then, take a left onto Thames Street. The Maine Narrow Gauge Railroad will be on your right at 49 Thames St.

From the South Portland Transportation Center, take the Metro Bus Route 21 towards the Old Port. Get off at the stop at Commercial Street and walk towards the waterfront. Head northeast along the waterfront path for about 0.4 miles until you reach the intersection with State Street. Turn right onto State Street and walk for about 0.3 miles. Finally, turn left onto Thames Street; the Maine Narrow Gauge Railroad will be on your right at 49 Thames St.

If you have a bicycle, a great route is to start from the South Portland Greenbelt Trail. Head north towards the waterfront. Once you reach the intersection with State Street, turn right and continue straight for approximately 0.3 miles. Then, turn left onto Thames Street.
