Walking
If you are in the downtown area of Portland, start at Monument Square, a central location. From Monument Square, head east on Congress Street. Continue walking straight for about 0.5 miles. You will pass several shops and restaurants along the way. The State Theatre will be on your left, at 609 Congress St. Look for the marquee to identify the entrance.
Public Transit - Bus
To get to State Theatre using public transit, locate the nearest bus stop. You can take the Metro bus route that stops at Congress Street. Check the schedule for the Line 1 bus, which runs frequently. Board the bus and ride until you reach the stop at Congress Street and State Street. Once you exit, walk a short distance west on Congress Street, and you will find the State Theatre at 609 Congress St.
Biking
If you prefer to bike, you can rent a bike from one of the local bike-sharing services. Start at any of the bike stations in downtown Portland. Head west on Franklin Street, then turn left onto Congress Street. Continue straight for about 0.5 miles. The State Theatre will be on your left at 609 Congress St. Make sure to use designated bike lanes where available.
