    Start at the Saco train station on Main Street. Head north on Main Street towards the intersection with Beach Street. Continue straight onto Beach Street, which will lead you towards the Saco River. Once you reach the river, turn left onto Water Street. Follow Water Street until you reach the intersection with Route 1 (North Street). Cross Route 1 carefully and continue on Water Street until you reach the bus stop at the Saco Transportation Center. From there, take the Metro bus route to Portland, which will drop you off at the Portland Transportation Center.

    From the Saco Transportation Center, take the Metro bus heading towards Portland. The ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the bus terminal in Portland, exit the bus and walk to Congress Street. Turn left onto Congress Street and walk east for about 0.3 miles until you reach 307 Congress St, the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception.

    Bicycle

    If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from one of the local bike rental shops in Saco. Start at the Saco Riverwalk and head north along the river until you reach the intersection with Route 1. Carefully cross Route 1 and continue along the designated bike paths that lead toward Portland. Follow the signs for the bike route to downtown Portland, which will take you to Congress Street.
