Start at Saco City Hall located at 300 Main St, Saco, ME. Head south on Main St toward Elm St for about 0.3 miles. Turn left onto Elm St and continue for another 0.2 miles until you reach the intersection with Route 1 (North St). Cross Route 1 carefully and head towards the Saco River. You will find a pedestrian bridge that leads to the riverwalk. Walk along the riverwalk heading north. After about 0.5 miles, you will reach the Biddeford-Saco Bridge. Continue walking across the bridge. Once you cross the bridge, continue straight, and you will be on Main St in Biddeford. The Stage Island Monument is located at the end of Main St, near the water.

If you have a bicycle, start at Saco City Hall at 300 Main St, Saco, ME. Ride south on Main St for about 0.3 miles and take a left onto Elm St. Continue for about 0.2 miles and take a left at the light onto Route 1 (North St). Carefully navigate across Route 1 and head towards the Saco River. You can join the designated bike lanes along the riverwalk heading north. After about 0.5 miles, you will reach the Biddeford-Saco Bridge. Cross the bridge, and once you reach the other side, continue on Main St until you arrive at the Stage Island Monument.
Public Transportation
From Saco, you can take the Biddeford-Saco Bus (Bus Route 1) from Saco Transportation Center. Board the bus heading towards Biddeford. After about a 10-minute ride, disembark at the Main St & Water St stop in Biddeford. From there, walk north on Main St towards the waterfront for about 0.4 miles. The Stage Island Monument is located near the end of Main St, close to the river.
