From South Portland, you can take a bus (Metro Bus Route 1) to the Old Port area of Portland, which takes about 20-30 minutes. Once you reach the ferry terminal, purchase a ticket for the Peaks Island ferry. The ferry ride lasts approximately 15-20 minutes. Upon arrival at Peaks Island, disembark and follow the signs towards Battery Steele, which is located a short walk from the ferry terminal.
