Walking
From the South Portland Bus Terminal on Waterman Drive, head northeast on Waterman Drive toward Broadway. After about 0.3 miles, you will reach Broadway. Turn left onto Broadway and continue walking for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Congress Street. Turn right onto Congress Street. Monument Square will be on your left at 456 Congress St, Portland, ME 04101, just after you pass the intersection with State Street.
Public Transport (Bus)
From the South Portland Bus Terminal, take the Metro bus route 1 towards Congress St. This bus will take you directly into downtown Portland. Stay on the bus for approximately 15 minutes and get off at the stop at Congress St & State St. From there, walk a short distance (about 2 minutes) east on Congress Street, and you will see Monument Square on your left at 456 Congress St.
Biking
If you have access to a bike, start from the South Portland Greenbelt Pathway. Head north on the pathway until you reach the intersection with Broadway. Turn left onto Broadway and continue until you reach Congress Street. Turn right onto Congress Street. Monument Square will be on your left at 456 Congress St, Portland, ME 04101. This route is approximately 2 miles and is mostly flat, making for an easy ride.
