Getting There

Follow US Route 1 North until you reach the town of Lubec. Once in Lubec, continue on US Route 1 until you reach the intersection with South Lubec Road (Route 189). Turn right onto South Lubec Road, and follow it for approximately 2.5 miles. Look for the signs directing you to the Easternmost Point in the Contiguous US, which will be located at 973 S Lubec Rd, Lubec, ME 04652. There is no entry fee to access the site.

• Public Transportation

  If you're relying on public transportation, check the Downeast Transportation's bus schedule, which serves Washington County. Take the bus route that goes towards Lubec. Once you arrive in Lubec, you may need to use a taxi service or ride-sharing app to reach the Easternmost Point, as public transit does not typically cover the final stretch to 973 S Lubec Rd.
