From the town of Machias, take Route 1 North toward Calais. Continue on Route 1 for approximately 30 miles until you reach the junction with Route 189 in the town of Lubec. Turn left onto Route 189 and drive for about 2.5 miles. You will then see signs for West Quoddy Head Lighthouse. Turn left onto South Lubec Road, and follow it for about 1 mile until you reach the lighthouse at 973 S Lubec Rd, Lubec, ME 04652. Parking is available on-site.

Public transportation options in Washington County are limited. The closest bus service is provided by Downeast Transportation. You can take the bus to Lubec from Machias, but be sure to check the bus schedule in advance as service may be infrequent.
