Car
From the center of Eastport, head southeast on Washington Street toward the waterfront. Continue straight onto Route 190 E. After about 2 miles, look for signs directing you to Shackford Head State Park. The park entrance will be on your left. Parking is available on-site, and there are no fees for parking.
Public Transportation
While Eastport does not have extensive public transportation, you can take a bus from nearby towns like Calais to Eastport. Check with local providers for current schedules. Once in Eastport, you will need to take a taxi or rideshare service to reach Shackford Head State Park, as it is approximately 2 miles from the nearest bus stop. Expect fares to be around $10-$15.
Bicycle
If you are in Eastport and prefer cycling, you can ride your bicycle from the city center. Head southeast on Washington Street and then onto Route 190 E. Please be cautious of traffic as you cycle. The park entrance will be approximately 2 miles away, and you can lock your bike at the designated bike rack at the park.
