By Car
From Lilongwe, take the M1 highway north towards Mzuzu. Continue on the M1 until you reach Rumphi. From Rumphi, follow signs towards Vwaza Marsh Wildlife Reserve. The reserve is located approximately 40km from Rumphi town. The road leading to the reserve may be rough and unpaved in some parts, so be prepared for a bumpy ride.
By Public Transportation
From Lilongwe, you can take a bus heading towards Mzuzu. Get off at Rumphi and then look for local minivans or taxis that can take you to Vwaza Marsh Wildlife Reserve.
