  • Car

    If you are driving, head south on the main road from Salima town towards the Lakeshore. You will pass local markets and small villages. Continue straight for approximately 15 kilometers until you reach the area marked 6FC5+5FC on your GPS. Look for signs indicating Lake Salima. There is ample parking available near the lakeshore.

  • Minibus

    To travel by minibus, go to the minibus station in Salima town. Look for a minibus heading towards the Lakeshore or specifically to Lake Salima. The fare should be around 500 MKW (Malawian Kwacha). The journey will take about 30 minutes. Once you arrive, ask the driver to drop you off at the nearest stop to 6FC5+5FC. From there, you can walk to the lakeshore.

  • Bicycle

    For an adventurous option, you can rent a bicycle in Salima. Head towards the lakeshore by biking south along the main road. The ride is approximately 15 kilometers and will take about 1 hour. Enjoy the scenic views along the way. Once you reach the area marked 6FC5+5FC, park your bicycle and walk to the lakeshore.

  • Walking

    If you're staying close to the lakeshore area, walking is a great option. Follow the local paths leading south from Salima town towards the lake. It will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours depending on your pace. Use a map or ask locals for directions to the area marked 6FC5+5FC as you walk.
