Car
From the center of Chinteche, head north on the main road towards Mzuzu. Continue for approximately 15 kilometers until you reach the junction near Chikale beach. Look for signs that indicate the direction to Chikale beach. Turn left at the junction and continue for another 2 kilometers until you see the entrance to Chikale beach on your right. Be prepared for some rough patches on the road as you get closer to the beach.
Public Transportation
From Chinteche, take a minibus heading towards Mzuzu. Make sure to inform the driver that you want to get off at the junction for Chikale beach. The fare is typically around 200 MWK. After about 15 minutes of travel, get off at the junction and look for a sign for Chikale beach. From the junction, you can either walk (approximately 2 kilometers) or wait for a local taxi to take you directly to the beach. The taxi fare should be around 500 MWK.
