    If you are driving from Mzuzu, take the M1 highway heading south. After approximately 25 kilometers, keep an eye out for the signs indicating the turn-off to Chikale beach. The turn-off is located near the village of Chiweni. Follow the dirt road for about 5 kilometers until you reach the beach area. The GPS coordinates for Chikale beach are approximately -11.61825 latitude and 34.3049993 longitude. Make sure to drive slowly, as the road can be bumpy and narrow.

  • Public Transportation (Minibus)

    From Mzuzu, you can take a minibus heading towards Nkhata Bay. Once you are on the bus, ask the driver to drop you off at the Chikale beach turn-off near Chiweni village. The fare should be around 500 MKW (Malawian Kwacha). After getting off, you will need to walk approximately 5 kilometers along the dirt road to reach Chikale beach. Be sure to travel in daylight for safety.
