Car
From Chinteche, get onto the M5 road heading south towards Salima. Continue on the M5 for approximately 30 km until you reach the turnoff for Mtakataka. Turn left onto the road towards Mtakataka, and continue for another 12 km. Once you reach the vicinity of Mtakataka, look for signs directing you to Dedza-Salima Forest Reserve. The entrance to the reserve is located at QCMR+4RR, Mtakataka. There may be a small entrance fee, so be prepared for that.

To reach Dedza-Salima Forest Reserve from Chinteche via public transport, take a minibus from Chinteche to Salima. The minibuses leave frequently from the main road.
