Ensure your vehicle is in good condition, as some roads may be unpaved.
Public Transportation
For those using public transport, take a minibus from Mangochi to Chipyela. The fare is typically around 1,500 MWK. Once you arrive in Chipyela, you may need to hire a motorcycle taxi (commonly known as 'piki piki') to take you to Makolo Hills where Bluegum Cottage is located. Ensure to negotiate the fare beforehand, which should be around 1,000 MWK for the short trip.
