The ferry departs from the nearby town of Cape Maclear. You will need to follow signs to Cape Maclear, which is approximately 20 kilometers from Mangochi. Once you arrive at Cape Maclear, park your car in a secure location (there may be a small fee for parking). From there, you will need to board a ferry to Domwe Island. Ensure you check the ferry schedule ahead of time, as departures may vary. The ferry ride takes about 30-45 minutes and costs around 5,000 MWK per person.
