Continue driving until you reach the junction for the road leading to Lake Malombe. Turn onto the road, and follow the signs for Lake Malombe, which is approximately 20 km from the junction. The journey should take around 30-40 minutes, depending on road conditions.

For those using public transportation, take a dala-dala (local minibus) from Mangochi to Monkey Bay. These minibuses leave frequently from the main bus station in Mangochi. The fare is usually around 500 MWK. Once you reach Monkey Bay, you can take another dala-dala or taxi to the junction for Lake Malombe. The taxi ride will cost approximately 1,000 MWK. After reaching the junction, you may need to walk the remaining distance or arrange for a local motorcycle taxi (boda-boda) to take you to the lake, which should cost around 500 MWK.
