You can take a minibus from major towns like Lilongwe or Blantyre to Mangochi. Once you arrive in Mangochi, you will need to take another minibus or hire a taxi to Mtakataka. The total cost for the minibus from Lilongwe to Mangochi is around MK 2,500 to MK 3,000, and the taxi from Mangochi to Mtakataka may cost MK 1,000 to MK 3,000, depending on negotiation.
