    Car

    From Lilongwe, head north on the M1 road towards Mzuzu. Continue for approximately 270 kilometers until you reach the junction for the C2 road towards Livingstonia. Turn left onto the C2 road and drive for about 20 kilometers. Follow the signs to Livingstonia, and then take the C47C road. Continue driving until you reach the coordinates C47C+F3R, where the Manchewe Waterfalls (Chipopoma) are located. Ensure you have a GPS or a map app handy for precise navigation.

    Public Transportation

    Take a minibus from Lilongwe to Mzuzu. The journey will take approximately 4-5 hours and cost around 2,500 MWK. Upon arriving in Mzuzu, you can catch another minibus heading to Livingstonia. This leg of the journey will take about 1 hour and cost around 1,500 MWK. Once you arrive in Livingstonia, you may need to hire a local taxi or use a motorcycle taxi (commonly known as a 'piki piki') to reach the waterfalls, which may cost around 1,000 MWK.

    Walking (from Livingstonia)

    If you are already in Livingstonia and prefer to walk, head towards the direction of the waterfalls from the center of town. It is approximately a 45-minute walk, following the main road (C47C). Make sure to ask locals for directions as they can provide the most current path information.
