    From Lilongwe Plain, head south on the M1 highway towards Blantyre. After approximately 30 km, take the turnoff for Machinga on the M3 road. Continue on the M3 for about 50 km until you reach the junction for Cape Maclear. Follow the signs to Cape Maclear for about 20 km. Once you reach Cape Maclear, look for the Unnamed Road leading to Chembe. Mgoza Lodge is located along this road, approximately 5 km from the main road.

  • Public Transportation

    Take a minibus from Lilongwe to Mangochi. Buses leave frequently from the Lilongwe bus station, and the fare is typically between 1,500 to 3,500 MWK depending on the bus type. Once in Mangochi, you can find a minibus or taxi that goes to Cape Maclear. The fare to Cape Maclear will be around 1,000 to 2,000 MWK. Upon reaching Cape Maclear, ask the driver to drop you off at Chembe. From there, Mgoza Lodge is about a 5 km walk along the Unnamed Road.

    If you prefer a more direct option, hire a taxi from Lilongwe Plain to Mgoza Lodge. This will be a more expensive option, with fares ranging from 30,000 to 50,000 MWK depending on negotiation and vehicle type. The taxi will take you straight to the lodge, which is approximately a 2-hour drive from Lilongwe Plain.
