Walking
If you are already in Area 47, the most straightforward way to reach Havilah Park is to walk. Start by heading toward the main road, which is Chigoneka Road. From there, walk straight until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto M1 Road. Continue walking straight until you see the entrance to Havilah Park on your right. It should take you about 20-30 minutes, depending on your walking speed.
Bicycle
If you have access to a bicycle, this can be a quick and enjoyable way to reach Havilah Park. Start by cycling down Chigoneka Road until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto M1 Road. Continue cycling straight for about 1 kilometer until you spot the entrance to Havilah Park on your right. Ensure you wear a helmet and follow local traffic laws. This route should take around 10-15 minutes.
Public Transport (Minibus)
To take a minibus to Havilah Park, head to the nearest minibus station in Area 47. Look for a minibus heading towards the city center or M1 Road. Board the minibus and inform the conductor that you want to get off at Havilah Park. The fare is typically around 200-500 MWK. Once you arrive, you may need to walk a short distance to the entrance of the park, which is located just off M1 Road.
Motorcycle Taxi (Boda Boda)
For a faster and more convenient route, consider taking a motorcycle taxi, locally known as a boda boda. You can find boda boda drivers around Area 47. Simply negotiate the fare, which is usually around 1,000-2,000 MWK, and tell the driver to take you to Havilah Park. The ride will take approximately 5-10 minutes, depending on traffic.
