Walking
From the center of Area 47, head southwest on the main road, which is known as M1. Continue walking for approximately 1 kilometer. You will pass several local shops and cafes. Keep an eye out for the signs pointing towards Capital Hill. Once you reach the intersection with the sign for Capital Hill, turn right onto the road leading to the memorial. Continue walking for another 500 meters until you see the World War I Memorial on your left. It is located at the address 3Q3M+HWC, Lilongwe.

Bicycle
If you have access to a bicycle, you can rent one from a local shop in Area 47. Start your ride by heading towards M1 and follow the same route as if you were walking. Biking will allow you to reach the memorial faster. The total distance is about 1.5 kilometers. Stay on the bike lane when possible for safety.
