From the Dzalanyama Forest Reserve entrance, head south on the main road towards Lilongwe. Continue on this road for approximately 30 kilometers until you reach the junction at Mchinji Road (A1). Turn right at the junction and follow the A1 for another 15 kilometers. Look for signs directing you to Bunda Forest, which will be located just off the A1 in the Lilongwe area. Public Transportation
To reach Bunda Forest via public transport, start by taking a minibus from Dzalanyama Forest Reserve to Lilongwe. The fare is typically around 1,500 MWK. Once in Lilongwe, you will need to take another minibus heading towards the A1 highway. Inform the driver that you are heading to Bunda Forest, and they will drop you off at the nearest stop. From there, you may need to walk approximately 1 kilometer to reach the entrance of Bunda Forest. Be sure to confirm the drop-off point with the driver.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, hiring a taxi from Dzalanyama Forest Reserve to Bunda Forest is an option. This will cost approximately 25,000 MWK, depending on negotiation.
