From Livingstonia, head south on the main road towards the M1 highway. After approximately 5 kilometers, you will reach a fork in the road. Take the left fork towards the Malawi Lake shore. Continue on this road for about 8 kilometers until you see a sign pointing towards Chombe Plateau. Follow the signs, which will lead you to a dirt road. The road can be rough, so drive carefully. After about 3 kilometers on the dirt road, you will arrive at the parking area near Chombe Plateau.

You may need to ask the driver to drop you off at the junction leading to Chombe Plateau; this is about 8 kilometers from Livingstonia. Once you get dropped off, you will need to walk or find a local taxi or motorcycle taxi (boda-boda) to reach the dirt road leading to Chombe Plateau. Expect to walk about 3 kilometers on the dirt road to reach the parking area near Chombe Plateau.
