From Livingstonia, head south on the main road towards the M1 highway. After approximately 5 kilometers, you will reach a fork in the road. Take the left fork towards the Malawi Lake shore. Continue on this road for about 8 kilometers until you see a sign pointing towards Chombe Plateau. Follow the signs, which will lead you to a dirt road. The road can be rough, so drive carefully. After about 3 kilometers on the dirt road, you will arrive at the parking area near Chombe Plateau.

In Livingstonia, locate the local minibus station (usually near the market area). Take a minibus heading towards the M1 highway or the lakeshore. You may need to ask the driver to drop you off at the junction leading to Chombe Plateau; this is about 8 kilometers from Livingstonia. Once you get dropped off, you will need to walk or find a local taxi or motorcycle taxi (boda-boda) to reach the dirt road leading to Chombe Plateau. Expect to walk about 3 kilometers on the dirt road to reach the parking area near Chombe Plateau.
