    If you are driving from the main entrance of Majete Wildlife Reserve, head north on the road towards Chikwawa. Continue on this road for about 25 kilometers until you reach the junction for the M1 highway. Turn right onto the M1 highway and continue for approximately 10 kilometers. Follow the signs towards Blantyre and keep an eye out for Livingstone Avenue. Once you are on Livingstone Avenue, the Independence Arch will be located at coordinates 52WV+69V. There is no entry fee for visiting the Independence Arch, but ensure your vehicle is fueled as you will be traveling on public roads.

    To reach Independence Arch using public transportation, start at the Majete Wildlife Reserve entrance where you can catch a minibus heading to Blantyre. These minibuses are frequent and can be found near the main entrance. Inform the driver you wish to go to Blantyre and they will drop you off at a central location in the city. From there, you can take another minibus or a taxi to Livingstone Avenue. Make sure to have some Malawian Kwacha on hand for the minibus fare, which should cost around 500 to 1,000 MWK. The total journey may take around 1.5 to 2 hours depending on traffic.
