Car
If you are traveling by car from Mulanje town, start on the main road (A16) heading towards Blantyre. After approximately 15 km, look for signs directing you to the Mulanje Mountain area. Turn onto the road towards Likhubula, which is well-marked. Continue on this road for about 5 km until you reach the entrance to Likhubula Forest Reserve. From there, follow the signs leading you to Likhubula Forest Lodge, which is approximately another 2 km along a dirt road. Be cautious of potholes and uneven terrain. Parking is available at the lodge.

To reach Likhubula Forest Lodge via public transport, first take a minibus from Mulanje town to the Mulanje Mountain base. These minibuses leave frequently throughout the day and cost around 500 MWK ($0.50). Once you arrive at the base, you might find local taxis or motorbike taxis (known as 'piki piki') that can take you to Likhubula Forest Lodge. The taxi ride will cost approximately 2000-3000 MWK ($2-$3) and should take about 20 minutes. Ensure you confirm the fare before starting your journey.
