Start at the Nkhata Bay central market. Head north along the main road (M5) for approximately 1 kilometer until you reach the fork in the road. Take the left fork towards the Chembezi River Trail, which is marked with a sign. Continue walking for another 500 meters, and you will find a path that leads into the forest. Follow this path for about 1 kilometer until you arrive at the Chembezi River Trail entrance.

Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Nkhata Bay. Begin your ride on the M5 road heading north for about 1 kilometer. Look for a sign indicating the Chembezi River Trail on the left side of the road. Turn left and ride along that road for approximately 500 meters. You will see the entrance to the Chembezi River Trail on your right after following the path into the forest for about 1 kilometer.
