From the center of Nkhata Bay, start at the Nkhata Bay Bus Station. Head south towards the lakeshore, following the road along the coast. Continue walking along the lakeside path until you reach the junction leading to the Kamwadi area. Keep an eye out for local signs that may indicate the direction to Kantchindu. As you approach Kamwadi, you will see several local vendors and small shops; this area is a good landmark to confirm you're on the right path. Continue straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the turn-off to Kantchindu Cottage, which is located near the water's edge. The cottage will be on your left, easily identifiable by its beautiful setting overlooking Lake Malawi.

If you are renting a bicycle in Nkhata Bay, start at the local market area. Cycle towards the lakeshore and then head south along the lake road. This route provides a scenic view of Lake Malawi. After approximately 1.5 kilometers, you will see a sign for Kamwadi. Take the turn towards Kamwadi and then follow the road leading to Kantchindu Cottage. It's about 500 meters from the intersection. The cottage is located right by the lake, making it a picturesque destination.

For an adventurous option, consider taking a boat from the Nkhata Bay waterfront. Look for local fishermen or tour operators offering rides to Kamwadi. The boat ride will take you directly across the bay. Ask the boat operator to drop you off at Kantchindu Cottage, which is situated along the shoreline.
