From the center of Nkhata Bay, head east towards the lakeshore. Walk along the main road (Chikangawa Road) that runs parallel to the lake. Continue walking until you reach the junction with the road leading to the Kalwe Forest Reserve. This will be on your right. The forest reserve is located approximately 6 km from Nkhata Bay town center. Follow the signs that indicate the direction to Kalwe Forest Reserve.
