Walking
From the center of Nkhata Bay, head towards the main road (M5). Walk along the road towards the north, following the signs for Luwazi. After about 1.5 kilometers, you will reach a fork in the road. Take the left fork that leads towards Luwazi. Continue walking for another 2 kilometers until you see a small sign for Kavuzi Waterfall on your right. Follow the path indicated by the sign, which will lead you through some local communities and natural scenery.

Bicycle
If you can rent a bicycle in Nkhata Bay, start at the lakeshore road heading north. Ride towards the main road (M5), then turn left and continue for about 1.5 kilometers. At the fork in the road, take the left towards Luwazi. Continue for approximately 2 kilometers until you see the sign for Kavuzi Waterfall. Park your bike safely and follow the walking path to the waterfall.

Motorbike Taxi
For a quicker option, you can hire a motorbike taxi (locally known as 'piki piki') from Nkhata Bay. Inform the driver that you want to go to Kavuzi Waterfall. The driver will take you along the main road (M5) towards Luwazi. The ride should take about 15-20 minutes. Ask the driver to drop you off at the signpost for Kavuzi Waterfall, which is about 1 kilometer from the main road. From there, follow the path leading to the waterfall.
