Getting There

• Walking

  Start from the center of Nkhata Bay, near the main market area. Head east towards the lakeshore, following the path that runs parallel to the lake. Continue along the shore until you reach the junction near the Nkhata Bay bus station. At this junction, take a left turn and follow the road that leads to Muyeleko. The road may be a bit uneven, so be cautious as you walk. After approximately 30 minutes, you will see signs for Nkhope Community Campsite. The campsite is located just off the main road, accessible by a short footpath.

• Bicycle

  If you have access to a bicycle, start from the center of Nkhata Bay. Ride east towards the lakeshore and then follow the lakeside road. As you approach the bus station, take a left turn onto the road leading to Muyeleko. Continue cycling along this road for about 30 minutes. Look for signs indicating Nkhope Community Campsite, which will be near the roadside. There may be a small path leading to the campsite from the main road.

• Local Transport (Motorbike Taxis)

  From your location in Nkhata Bay, find a motorbike taxi (also known as 'piki piki'). Inform the driver that you want to go to Nkhope Community Campsite in Muyeleko. The ride should take around 10-15 minutes, depending on traffic. The driver will take you directly to the campsite entrance, which is marked with signs. Be sure to agree on the fare before starting your journey.
