Getting There

Car

If you are driving from Mzuzu, take the M1 road towards Nkhatabay. After approximately 70 km, you will reach the junction to Dwangwa. Turn left onto the Dwangwa Road and continue for about 30 km. As you get closer to Dwangwa, look for signs directing you to Ngala Beach Lodge. The lodge is located on the shores of Lake Malawi, and you will see it on your right after passing through the Dwangwa township.
Public Transportation

To reach Ngala Beach Lodge by public transport, take a minibus from Mzuzu to Nkhatabay. The journey will take about 1 to 1.5 hours. Upon arrival at Nkhatabay, transfer to another minibus heading to Dwangwa. The fare for the minibus from Mzuzu to Nkhatabay is approximately 1,000 MWK, and from Nkhatabay to Dwangwa, it should be around 500 MWK. Once you arrive in Dwangwa, you can take a taxi or walk to the lodge, which is about 5 km from the town center.
Taxi

If you prefer a more direct route, consider hiring a taxi from Mzuzu or Nkhatabay. This option may be more expensive, with fares ranging from 10,000 MWK to 15,000 MWK depending on your starting point. The taxi will take you directly to Ngala Beach Lodge, ensuring a comfortable journey without the need to transfer.
