    If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Shire Valley and head towards the T417 road. Follow the T417 for approximately 10 kilometers. You will pass by Bvumbwe Research Station on your right. Game Haven Lodge is located near this station, on the left side of the road. Look for signage indicating the lodge to ensure you do not miss it.

  • Public Transportation

    For those using public transportation, take a minibus (locally known as a 'dala dala') from the main bus station in Shire Valley heading towards Chigumula. Inform the driver that you want to stop at Bvumbwe Research Station. The fare is usually around 500 MWK. Once you reach the station, you can either walk (approximately 1 km) or ask a local for directions to Game Haven Lodge, which is just a short distance away on the T417 road.

  • Walking

    If you are close enough to Game Haven Lodge, you can also walk. From the Bvumbwe Research Station, head northeast along the T417 road. The lodge is approximately 1 kilometer away. Watch out for the signs, as the lodge is situated near the road, making it fairly easy to find.
