From Chikwawa, head to the local minibus station. Take a minibus heading towards Nsanje. After about 30 minutes, ask the driver to drop you off at the turn-off for Lake Chilwa. The fare is typically around 500 MWK (Malawian Kwacha). From the drop-off point, you may need to walk approximately 2 kilometers to reach the lakeside.
