Getting There

Car
If you're driving from the main town of Chikwawa, head south on the M1 road. Continue for approximately 30 kilometers until you reach the junction for the Chavara area. Turn left onto a gravel road (5PMM+H9C is your destination). Follow the signs for Mkulumadzi Lodge, which is approximately 10 kilometers down this road. Be prepared for some rough patches, so a 4x4 vehicle is recommended.

Public Transportation
From Chikwawa, you can take a minibus headed to Chavara. Ask the driver to drop you off at the junction for Mkulumadzi Lodge (5PMM+H9C). The fare is usually around 500 MWK. From the junction, it's about a 10-kilometer walk or you can arrange for a local taxi or motorcycle taxi to take you the rest of the way, which may cost around 2000-3000 MWK.
