    Getting There

    Car

    If you are traveling by car within Shire Valley, head towards Dwangwa on the main road. From the center of Dwangwa, take the road that leads towards the lakeshore. Drive for approximately 10 km until you see the sign for Ngala Beach Lodge on your right. Turn onto the dirt road and follow the signs directly to the lodge, which is located by the lake.

    Public Transport

    To reach Ngala Beach Lodge using public transportation, take a minibus or shared taxi from the main bus station in either Nkhotakota or Dwangwa heading towards the lakeshore. Inform the driver that you are going to Ngala Beach Lodge. The fare should be around 1,500 MWK (Malawian Kwacha). Once you reach the Dwangwa area, you may need to walk about 2 km to the lodge, or you can ask the driver to drop you off as close as possible to the lodge entrance.

    Walking

    If you are already in Dwangwa and prefer to walk to Ngala Beach Lodge, start from the Dwangwa town center and head towards the lakeshore. Follow the path along the lakeside, keeping the lake on your left. It will take approximately 30-40 minutes to reach the lodge on foot. Make sure to stay hydrated and wear comfortable shoes.
