Be aware that there may be tolls on certain roads, so keep some cash ready.

For those opting for public transportation, take a minibus from Blantyre to Thyolo. These minibuses depart from the main bus station in Blantyre and leave frequently throughout the day. The journey takes about 45 minutes. Once you arrive in Thyolo, you can either walk or hire a local taxi to take you to the Thyolo Tea Estate, which is approximately 5 kilometers from the town center. The taxi fare should be around 1,000 to 2,000 MWK depending on your negotiation skills.
