If you are driving from Blantyre, take the M1 highway towards Zomba. After approximately 30 km, look for the sign towards Kuchawe. Follow the road signs until you reach Kuchawe. Continue on the main road and look for the turnoff to Mulunguzi Dam park, which is located at J8R4+5V. There is a parking area available near the entrance.
