If you are traveling by car, make your way to the M1 Chikwawa Road, heading towards Blantyre. Fisherman's Rest is located on the Mbame Estate in Mirale. From Blantyre, drive approximately 20 kilometers south on the M1. Look for the signs indicating Mbame Estate on your right. Turn into the estate and follow the road until you reach Fisherman's Rest. Parking is available on-site.
Public Transportation (Minibus)
To reach Fisherman's Rest via public transportation, take a minibus from Blantyre to Chikwawa. These minibuses frequently depart from the Blantyre bus station and the fare is around 300 MWK (Malawian Kwacha). Inform the driver that you are heading to Mbame Estate. Once you arrive at the nearest stop to Mbame Estate, you may need to walk or hire a local taxi to cover the remaining distance to Fisherman's Rest.
