If you're traveling by car from Blantyre, take the M1 highway heading south. After about 30 km, you will reach the junction with the M2 road. Turn left onto the M2 road, and continue for approximately 15 km. Look for signs for Thyolo Tea Estate on your right. The estate is directly accessible from the M2 road.
Public Transportation
To reach Thyolo Tea Estate via public transportation, start by taking a minibus (matola) from Blantyre to Thyolo. The minibuses leave from the main bus station in Blantyre and cost approximately MWK 1,000. The journey takes about 1 hour. Once you arrive in Thyolo, you can take a taxi or a local bicycle taxi (kabaza) to the Thyolo Tea Estate. Ensure to negotiate the taxi fare in advance, which should be around MWK 500 to MWK 1,000.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, you can hire a taxi from Blantyre to Thyolo Tea Estate. This will provide comfort and save time, but it is more expensive. The taxi fare will generally be around MWK 10,000 to MWK 15,000. Make sure to confirm the fare before starting your journey. The taxi will take you directly to the estate.
